  • Slope paver patios away from the house by about 3/16 in to 1/4 in per ft, and confirm drainage, soils, frost, and local code before construction.
  • Shape-aware mode uses your entered rectangle dimensions directly for area, perimeter, edging, control-joint planning, and preview geometry.
  • Paver waste follows the straight lay / large-format grid default of 8%.
  • Paver excavation assumes the finished surface settles about 1/4 in into the bedding layer and ends roughly flush with adjacent grade.
